So Sad

I was just informed that all the photo cards that I made for Valerie just before the holidays were all burned up in a fire at her house. She had them on the table. The story goes. She was working a double and her husband was home and was playing cards with thier cousin and and they decided to go to the store and while they were gone he had a candle burning on their table. it was one of those in a jar and well the glass heated up and it exploded on her table which caught everything on the table on fire and creeped into the living room part way. The Neighbor heard the dog barking and detector going crazy and broke into their house pretty much and found the fire. and from there 911 and fire out. OMG! What a bummer. Most of those cards were made with the original photos because I was having printer issues. I would of course love to replace them. I still can't believe it. The best I could do for her is a photo of the cards I made. If she can get me some more photos then I can make more for her.

Little girl... These are for you!

This little baby is one of the first cards that I have done after the Christmas hurricane has blown through my house. I can say that I have definately been in the spirit during the holiday and now that it is over I can concentrate on getting back into the swing of things.
Let me do this card and then update you on a few things.

Winter Bliss!

Well this definately didn't line up the way I wanted. Whatever! I just wanted to show you the first snow storm in Connecticut on Saturday December, 5,2009. I thought for sure that I was going to be called into work. Lucky I guess. It came down and then the roads were clear. Beautiful how all the snow was on the tree's/ branches. We had another storm on Monday morning which left a hefty deposit of snow. Working that day so no Pcx. I went into work in the dark and came home in the dark. The trees were bare the next day. Not a pretty storm either. We had 4-6 inches of snow here and other places around CT had none and 2-4 inches. Bizzare. It was pretty anyways.

Merry Christmas

I just wanted to show my beautiful tree this year. I spent about 4 hours decorating it. Wow! that is a lot of ornaments. The pictures don't give it justice of how beautiful the tree is this year. I just love to look at the tree in the dark all lit up. So beautiful. I hope you all have a beautiful Christmas. too.

Father & Son Love

What a fantastic picture of a father and son together. Valerie the girl I work got very teary eyed when she saw this great card of her hubby and his dad. I do say that it came out great. While they were visiting they had a bunch of pictures taken and to cheer the mother up she thought that she would have them made into cards and she will frame them after. How cool right! Hint Hint! Would make great xmas presents girls! Anyways, very easy and so much fun to make. Enjoy Valerie.

Joy is in the Air!

Well tis the season and it is off to a good start. I think that people are definately thinking twice about buying to buy. Really think about what is going on and not going crazy this Christmas season. I know I am. Things are especially tight this year. I am going to make most of my gifts with the talents that I use all the time and I think that it will be MORE special to receive a homemade gift than a tacky something or other that you'll never use or wanted. So Use what you have girls.
Anyways, I went on the CHF blog and was scrolling around and came across a similar card and loved the layout so I stamplifted this great layout. I hope you like it.

I went on the CHF blog today. I did try out some really cool techniques. If you get a chance head over there and check them out. Here is the Link for it.... CHF The technique is very easy. All you do is take a baby wipe and fold it a few times and then take re-inkers and drip a few drops on the crease and then swipe over a piece of glossy cardstock. Very cool. Then I took a abstract stamp and black in Voila! :) May have to do a xmas card.

It has been such a long time since I have been online. Besides having Computer problems which are all set now. The servers are updated, the programs are cleaned all that good junk that needs to be done to be functional. I bet your all sick of looking at the gnomes.... Me too. A little recap of what has been going on since the gnomes. I as always have been working extra hard mostly to make money.... I now this was for a good reason. I went on vacation to Ireland. Fabulous! trip 2 weeks of driving and site seeing and research and living it up with relatives. Relatives of my best friend who's family adopted me about 8 years ago. We had an awesome time. Then reality hits when you come home and it always seems as if nothing got done and you have double the work. I haven't event unpacked and their a ton of other things going on. closing the pool, yard work, take the AC out, clean and get organized, work, life and everything else. Not much time for playing in the craft room and DEFINITELY losing touch with all of you. Anyways, back into the swing of things. I did make a few cards a while back.. I will back track and get them up too. School has started for the DD. Big 4Th grader. Playing the flute- Amazing! and crafting with me still ( will have to put her stuff up too!) Here it goes!

Wow!

I was watching TV during a storm we had and all of a sudden it all stopped and the sun came out. Really Earry looking (Like twister weather) So, we all went outside to see the sun out only on the tops of some trees and we saw a beautiful Rainbow. It was so beautiful and then I looked really close and saw a second rainbow. What are the chances of that. I just had to wish on it and take some pictures. I know in Connecticut we are all getting a little sick of rain and terrible days. It is suppose to be summer and it is now July and we really haven't had any summer lazy days.
