Happy Fall to You!

I came across a part of the MFT blog that had a sketch for the designers to NOT use Markers or pencils to make a card. This is what I came up with.

Stamps: MFT- PI Li'l Pumpkin, Paper: Going grey, vanilla, black, Imaginisce Cs Ink: Black
Accessories: Copic marker to outline the sentiment, Pop dots, Prima flower that I Twinked with Pumpkin spice, Bling, Pop dots, clear adhesive dots

The only other accessory that I used was the MFT die-namic, Nestie circle and some bling and pop dots. Easy Peasy!

A Keepsake Treasure for You!

I decided to work on my future sister-in-law's card. They're theme for the wedding is this gold like sunflowers and mostly navy and other shades of rich blues. Fall date too. (9-10-11). Anyways, we got on the subject of Something old and something new, something borrowed and something blue. She did tell me her items and one of them was the six pense. I let her borrow mine, and that was old and then my mother in-law gave her a 2011 penny to add as her something new along with her dress. Which made me come up with the idea of a card. I did make this one for her. I have a penny with the year that she was born (1960) and then this years penny (2011). Well that just left the blue. I decided to put a lot of blue in the card.

Is it Hot Outside???

OMG! I was dying when I was looking at Dawn's blog. She had this cartoon. I am still laughing over it. This pretty much sums it up in a corn husk!

You Make my life Sweet!

Yup! You said it Rainbow... Now that is an Ice cream. On these Hot days. The temp. has reached up to 109 in some spots around Connecticut this week. A little side note... Had to laugh yesterday. My daughter begged me to get her Ice cream. We went to the store which is about 15 minutes away. got the Ice cream and ran to the car. Put it in a cooler so it wouldn't be soup by the time we got home and realized that its a 109 degrees outside. What are the chances to get home and not have soup.....laughing because of the exerp from Forrest gump... We can make.... Soup pancakes, soup salad, soup cake, soup sandwiches. all out of the melted icecream... shes's 11, what do you want. it was funny at the time. Still laughing over it! :)

I was working on some coloring in my studio and I came up with the challenge for the Color throwdown. Check it out. color throwdown #151.

I Love you!.. You make a difference!

I am starting to work on my card swap cards before I go back to school. I know that I will be jammed and therefore having a little time now I thought that I would work on them. This is the August collection which we had to make a birthday card. the challenging technique this month is using your initials of your name come up with your design. My initials are "L and S" so I came up with Sunflower, color lemon, and Speckled.

Stamps: MFT- More essential Sentiments, Paper Smooches-Falling for you, Heartfelt creations-Aztec Gold sunflower2 Paper: DP-DCWV-fall stack, Canyon brown, daffodil delight, thyme Ink: Black Copic Mkr: Y15, Y25, Accessories: Glitter-Barbara Trombleys elements-earth textures called redlands 26, ribbon, taylor expressions leaf die, Nestie blossom two die, clear adhesive dots

Spinner Card!

Spinner card it is.

With the new Die-Namic from MFT called Pinwheel and stamp set I decided to make a spinner card. I think it came out very cool. I decided on purpose not to use double sided paper to add some contrast to the such dark colors. The white pulls everything together. The technique is easy peasy.

All you need is two pennies and pop dots with a window punch and spin away!
First you make your spinner. second, adhere with a glue dot to the center of the back of the spinner a penny. Put two pop dots on the back ( The SU! pop dot work the best their circular). Then punch on your paper with the window punch and lay that mechanism on it and flip it over and put the penny on top of it and watcher slide back and forth. With that panel you have to pop that so that the whole flat mechanism has room to move. PS. The sample with the window is my boo boo card please don't mind the smudging of the sentiment. I threw this one out. Thanks :)

Stamps: MFT- Pinwheel stamp & Die-Namic set Paper: Canyon Brown, White, DCWV- fall stack
