I haven't been on my blog in a while. I have been really busy making cards but haven't had a chance to put them up. I was blog hopping and came across a girl Sarah Gough. WoW! She has a great style and I just love the layout of this card. I copied her layout here. If you want to check out her stuff she's on MFT blog.

I Am Sad For You!

My mother just called me to tell me that my uncle who has been sick for a very long time finally passed away. He struggled with heart disease. I think that I will send this card to the daughters on that side of the family. I thought that I would share this card in other ways too.

This weeks challenge for MFT WSC7. Very Cool. I love this layout too. I may have to make this again for one of my classes.

Im so Sad, I Could Just Cry!

Technique: Polished stone technique which consists of Alcohol inks, and glossy paper. I have been trying to perfect this for some time and our local stamp store that has a monthly class- Stamp sista's. I couldn't believe how easy and figured out what I was doing wrong all this time. Glossy paper, Tim Holtz alcohol inks, Tim Holtz blending tool with felt applicators. You put a few drips of the color your trying to achieve in little dots on the felt. Not to touch each other, then add a mixative like the gold, silver or pearl. Then add the alcohol blending solution over that and pounce on the glossy card stock and voila! Beautiful results. Never the same either. I also added this card to a contest on Moxie fab world stamping stamping techniques. Check it out

Oh So Sad!

Awwww! I am so sad today. We have a birdhouse at the end of our stairs in a garden with chickadee's and something got in there and killed the parents and 7 babies. I am so upset. They were so innocent and we were so excited that they were so close to our house and not afraid of us right in the walking path to be hatching babies. We would watch the progress daily. I decided to make this sympathy card. So true, Earth has no sorrow that heaven cannot heal.
Recipe:
Stamps: Clear stamp of an unknown bird, and the saying is from Close as a Memory.
Accessories. Corner punches and ticket punch, blue ribbon, Prism glitter, glue pen, chatterbox snap on paper-crafting fasteners. pop dots, copic mkrs

Paper: Designer paper scraps and bashful blue
