A Keepsake Treasure for You!
I decided to work on my future sister-in-law's card. They're theme for the wedding is this gold like sunflowers and mostly navy and other shades of rich blues. Fall wedding....cool date too. (9-10-11). Anyways, we got on the subject of Something old and something new, something borrowed and something blue. She did tell me her items and one of them was the six pense. I let her borrow mine, and that was old and then my mother in-law gave her a 2011 penny to add as her something new along with her dress. Which made me come up with the idea of a card. I did make this one for her. I have a penny with the year that she was born (1960) and then this years penny (2011). Well that just left the blue. I decided to put

Thanks Gram!

I just made this little cutey for my Grandmother. She has been a god send to let me use her car until I get a new one mine died last week in a crash..... Believe it or not she is 92 years old and hasn't driven in a year or so but still has the car and maintains it and puts gas, cleans it starts it up once a week to see if it runs and believe it still pays the insurance on it. My Mom almost had her convinced that she wants her to give it up and boom I have my accident and now I am using it. I just love her. Thanks gram.

This is another card that I made with the new papers from Anna Griffin. Very cool kinda retro papers. I really like the Embellies too. Here is a very simple what ever card. I am using it for a simple Thank you card.
The Hubs had surgery on his neck and was laid up for a while. We borrowed a small refrigerator from a friend and I thought that this would be nice for her. Thanks Joyce for all your help.

Here's to Good Friends

I had a great surprise this weekend. As you know that I had to spend my Birthday at work, working a double in that god awful blizzard "Bernard" that dropped 28-36" of snow in places. Not a very good week at our house with snow, pain- in the neck, and boredom....Anyways, My BFF/sister Eileen had me and the Hubs over for a Bday dinner and she surprised me....Another friend from my past that faded out and is now back....Love you Glenn. Miss you and I have to say did we laugh and have a great time. Hats off to you Eileen for pulling one over on me. Good job planning.

I love you!

I wasn't sure how this one was going to come out and I have to say that It came out awesome. Still having issues to how my camera shoots to a flat object. A work in progress. I did a couple of different techniques here. I wanted to make a peice of wood like out of paper. which of course looks totally different here that the real thing. Anyways, I took a piece of paper, and swiped it with brown dauber and let dry, then swipe again with white school glue- let dry and then over it again with a white dauber ( happen to grab the wrong one which was a pearl. and had to touch it up with the brown again. to hide some of that shimmer Happy accident I guess). Then I could die cut it.

Happy Anniversary!

I was blog hopping and I came across this layout...well not exactly. I found a similair butterfly called the Artists Butterfly and it was on the Hero Arts blog. I just love this card. I had to copy it I used the butterfly that I had which is butterflies 3 images. I tried to do the feathering technique here but with my camera it doesn't show the feather. Just where they end. It really is blended quite nicely. It kind of look choppy here. I am going to give this card to my In-Laws. They have been married 59 years tomorrow. Congrats you two! Many more! I will work on the blending and the camera thing.
