Happy Easter

Back by popular demand. I did a card similar for a challenge (*of course) a while back. A few girls saw it and asked if I would show it in one of my classes coming up. What is better than showing it but doing it right. I am still not convinced that this card is finished. I feel that it is missing something. If you can see something it needs let me know?
I thought that this would be a great card to do in my class coming up next week. It will fit the theme.... Glitter / Easter.

Deets:

Stamp set: PSX retired K-2276/ 1997. MFT Essential sentiments Accessories: Big Top note, Sizzix leaf, MS leaf punch, Flower punch, Primas, Nesties, Copic mkrs, Glitter, Atou spica pens,Dew drops mowed grass, window punch, popdots Ink: Black, Garden green Paper: Creme, white, DCWV nana's nursery

I tried a new technique learned in copic class too. I scribbled randomly on paper with the yellow, green and bits of orange, I then took Blender on a rag and dabbed it on the random colors then I punched them with the flower punch. It gives it a really cool look and then all blend together. Very cool Try it and if you think of it link it back to me your projects.. Would love to see them. Have fun!

The Art of Cleaning

I am trying to clean my craft space....Yeah right. I start and then I say I can fix this card and fix that card... Oh.. Change out that ribbon or embellie... I know you have the same challenges... Well, I really mean it
I am trying to clean... Well of course I came across an old card that fell apart for whatever reason. I got to thinking and fixed the card and this is what I came up with. It started out very flat and no color and just the mono grey and green. Watercolored and I was reading some of the old posts from Marianne and fixing projects from years ago with copics well I wanted to see how it would look if I went over it with copics that were watercolored. I think it came out very cool. I thnk it was a card that I did for a masculine class a few years ago. Needless to say the craft space is still a mess. *wink Heee Heee!
Deets:
Stamp set: Loads of Love and Loads of love accessories Accessories: Ribbon, staples, pop dots, Copic mkrs, Glittered $1.00 store embellie, Notebook tab punch, corner punch Pan pastels Inks: Always Artichoke, Chocolate chip, Black Paper: Going grey, Always artichoke, Close to cocoa, Pumpkin pie, white, DP Creative memories

Fabulous!!!!

This was a really neat project. I was over a great friends house and she showed me these great books. They have been around for a hundred years. It never dawned on me DUH!. that these would be great for Copics. They are Dover publications. You can use the designs and illustrations for graphics and crafts applications, free and without special permission. and the only rule is that you include no more than ten in the same publication or project to be reproduced. I borrowed her books. Any art store carries them. They are awesome. I was able to practice some copic stuff. Aren't they great.
Deets:
Dover publication: Old-fashioned floral designs. ( it has the CD so when you print you can figure out your sizes. I heat set it and then had no problems with the copics bleeding. Stamp sets: Garden Silhouttes Accessories: Ribbon, Sizzix, Dew drops- meadow, Copic mkrs, Nesties, Sponge, pop dots Ink: Always artichoke Paper: Vanilla, White, Old Olive, Pumpkin pie, So Saffron

Missed you all!

Things have been so hectic here so I haven't been on in a spell. Love that word. Work, kids, friend having surgery, teaching classes, more work and actually no time lately to stamp and have some Therapy. *wink if you know what I mean. I have to say it was a big big sigh to come into my office and play for a while. I was also doing some cleaning onthe computer and wouldn't you know now I can't find the pictures I wanted to put on here. So As soon as I find them. I'll put them on. Here is one that I did for a challenge LAST week. Do you think it is too late to put in. Probably. I'll have to check it out.

Your My Prince Charming!

I'll tell you a little story about the color choices. I have a few repeat colors of the copic markers and my daughter (Emesoda) now wants to have her own copic markers. I said that she could have the repeat colors. Well she saw this cute little guy from Whiff of joy stamps. She wanted her colors to be his colors. *Wink. The things that we do for children. And she picked out the layout also; which is from MFT (mftsc09) Check out the layouts there. Very cool. Anyways. This is the fourth project that I am going to do at my class.
