Happy Fall to You!

I came across a part of the MFT blog that had a sketch for the designers to NOT use Markers or pencils to make a card. This is what I came up with.

Accessories: Copic marker to outline the sentiment, Pop dots, Prima flower that I Twinked with Pumpkin spice, Bling, Pop dots, clear adhesive dots

Since I was on a roll with the cards and the previous layout. I decided to use some Imaginisce- Thanks-give-ing denim stickers. I just love their paper. I went to town on it. Very cool. The only other accessory that I used was the MFT die-namic, Nestie circle and some bling and pop dots. Easy Peasy!

A Keepsake Treasure for You!

I decided to work on my future sister-in-law's card. They're theme for the wedding is this gold like sunflowers and mostly navy and other shades of rich blues. Fall wedding....cool date too. (9-10-11). Anyways, we got on the subject of Something old and something new, something borrowed and something blue. She did tell me her items and one of them was the six pense. I let her borrow mine, and that was old and then my mother in-law gave her a 2011 penny to add as her something new along with her dress. Which made me come up with the idea of a card. I did make this one for her. I have a penny with the year that she was born (1960) and then this years penny (2011). Well that just left the blue. I decided to put a lot of blue in the card.

Spinner Card!

Spinner card it is.

With the new Die-Namic from MFT called Pinwheel and stamp set I decided to make a spinner card. I think it came out very cool. I decided on purpose not to use double sided paper to add some contrast to the such dark colors. The white pulls everything together. The technique is easy peasy.

All you need is two pennies and pop dots with a window punch and spin away!
First you make your spinner. second, adhere with a glue dot to the center of the back of the spinner a penny. Put two pop dots on the back ( The SU! pop dot work the best their circular). Then punch on your paper with the window punch and lay that mechanism on it and flip it over and put the penny on top of it and watcher slide back and forth. With that panel you have to pop that so that the whole flat mechanism has room to move. PS. The sample with the window is my boo boo card please don't mind the smudging of the sentiment. I threw this one out. Thanks :)

Deets:
Stamps: MFT- Pinwheel stamp & Die-Namic set Paper: Canyon Brown, White, DCWV- fall stack
Ink Black Accessories: MFT- Die-Namic , Brad, Pop dots, glue adhesive dots, SU! doily edge punch, pennies, SU window punch

I did a couple of different techniques here. I wanted to make a peice of wood like out of paper. which of course looks totally different here that the real thing. Anyways, I took a piece of paper, and swiped it with brown dauber and let dry, then swipe again with white school glue- let dry and then over it again with a white dauber ( happen to grab the wrong one which was a pearl. and had to touch it up with the brown again. to hide some of that shimmer Happy accident I guess). Then I could die cut it.
